On the Origins of the Word “Prospective”
Gaston Berger has played a key role in promoting thinking about the future. But, contrary to a widely held belief, he is not the inventor of the word “prospective” whose originis Bernard Cazes seeks.
Here he gives us a quick survey of the usage of this term since its first appearance in 1456.
